​Our Family

Charlie Chestang, Sr. is the leader and Dad of the band, He plays rhythm guitar and sings lead. Family and Friends call him Elroy.




























Charlie "Spanky" Chestang, Jr.,  a graduate of the University of Mobile, is a songwriter, musician and all-around go to guy for the band. He plays lead guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, and sings.




























Tabitha Chestang Havens is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, but her job is being a mom to Rylee Kate, Quinnon, Charlotte, and Della. She plays the upright bass and sings. 





























Butch Long is a songwriter and musician that became a part of our family in 2008. He is very supportive to the group. He plays the banjo and sings.





























Waylon Havens is married to Tabitha. He is quiet but enjoys making others laugh. He has been a part of the band since 2008. He plays lead guitar and mandolin.





























Autumn Chestang is our live wire. She is the youngest in the family. She enjoys trying to tease her brother and sister. She sings and is learning to play the fiddle, guitar, and bass.



The Chestangs are from McIntosh, AL and have been playing bluegrass gospel music since 1996. Their main purpose is to spread the gospel in song and encourage people along the way. Their music has been described as "Gospel music with the Traditional Bluegrass sound." The Chestangs have traveled all over the southeast region from Indiana to Florida. They have also opened for nationally known acts including The Larry Stephenson Band, The Little Roy and Lizzy Show, and Heaven's Mountain Band. As a member of the Bluegrass Gospel Association, the Chestangs have performed at the Bluegrass Gospel Showcase in Nashville, TN for the past several years.
